The Center for Health Research and Innovation (CHRI) at Somali National University (SNU) is a multidisciplinary research center dedicated to advancing health research, innovation, and evidence-based solutions that improve the health and well-being of communities in Somalia and the Horn of Africa.
The Center serves as a hub for scientific research, policy development, innovation, and capacity building, bringing together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, students, and development partners to address the country’s most pressing health challenges. Through high-quality research, technology, and collaboration, CHRI supports the generation of knowledge that informs public health policy, strengthens healthcare systems, and contributes to sustainable national development.
Aligned with the University’s Strategic Plan, the Center promotes interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and innovation in health sciences while strengthening Somalia’s research ecosystem.
